Passages Intensive Cycle
The Passages program is designed to build whole, balanced adults through a series of experiences and activities that emphasize the necessity of balancing our physical and spiritual aspects. It is when balanced that we are best able to adapt to the chaos of a changing world. Borrowing from Western, Eastern, and Indigenous Traditions, we offer people a chance to build their lives in a way that creates whole human beings. In a world beset by division, tribalism, and anger, our program offers students tools to silence their minds, train their bodies, energize their spirit, and persevere through difficulties. The Passages program leverages concepts of traditional rites of passage as a pathway to modern adulthood. Once a student
completes the Passages program, they are considered alumni of the Passages program.
The Passages Program is comprised of a series of 3 weekend intensives, culminating in a benchmark rites of passage ceremony, marking a student's graduation. Each seminar is comprised of a series of experiential learning exercises, such as meditation, mindful food choices, rich discussions, storytelling, and outdoor activities. Each seminar builds on the knowledge gained during the previous seminar, as well as the student's experience applying the learning in daily life. The training begins with a focus on learning how to quiet the mind, so a student can develop the opportunity to tap into universal knowledge. The training continues with a focus on accessing and using tools to empower our students, like breath exercises, and tools to explore the non-physical, like lucid dreaming. We hope that the students will use these tools to access their life’s purpose and explore how they can uniquely contribute to and be of service to their family, friends, and community. They will round out their learning by persevering, overcoming barriers, and thriving no matter how difficult the challenge or task.
Intensive Weekend themes are Purification, Empowerment, and Impeccability. Those completing the full Cycle will be eligible to register for the final Intensive, Perseverance, and participate in their Right of Passage Ceremony.
